A long awaited Vacation

We finally had a mini family vacation. We went to Grandma's and Grandpa's cabin at Wallwolla Lake, near Joseph, OR. Cole had a blast! We went on a little walk and there were times he was just too pooped to go on. He did not want to be carried either due to his independence streak that has erupted rather than emerged this past month. Mommy and Daddy enjoyed watching Cole and Grandparents splash and jump in puddles. Never seen so much enjoyment at exploring new things like only a toddler can. Cole also enjoyed walking up to the deer and saying hello. He got 2 feet from a Buck and the Buck just looked at him and walked away. We all had fun and look forward to our next trip.

Too tired, Must rest, Can't go on...

I'm coming to greet you!

Off and Running!!!

Cole has Discovered a new activity. The Treadmill. Our little boy is averaging 1 mile a day. He can get up to speeds of 2.5 miles per hour! I think we will start him training for Bloomsday next year. Do they have a 3 and under category? He tried this game with Daddy and was so excited that when Mommy came home from work he banged on the treadmill to show that he wanted to show Mommy his newest feat. He was grinning ear to ear. The pictures we took were from this morning after breakfast. I think everyone should work out in their underwear. After a quick 1/2 mile he then proceed to bounce on the mattress we are giving to a friend in the living room for about a 1/2 hour. Daddy said he had a really good nap! So if you have a toddler who can't sit still and a treadmill/coat rack, I highly recommend this sort of activity. With adult supervision of course!

But I had 3 months!!!

Cole is now acting like a traditional 2 year old. But we had 3 months to go!!! He will throw a might good fit if you look at him funny. I miss my dear sweet child, where did he go? Will he ever come back? Well as you all notice Cole needs another haircut which our good friend Heather will do with the utmost skill and professionalism. I foresee head shaking, Head bonking, wiggling to get free and all that Jazz. If we are around other people he generally is in good behavior, ie performing tricks for the Grandparents. He feeds each dog an individual treat by name and then of course sampled some himself. Yummy, Beefy! Cole was sleeping in but this morning he woke up at 7 am, I know that isn't so bad but he usually sleeps to a peaceful 8:30, today will be an interesting playdate.

Cole likes the shiny stuff, made his own necklace.

My new trick, I can pull my pants on and off, but where is my potty?

Sand Box Escapades

Cole was introduced to his sand box this past Sunday. Grandma and Grandpa Leonard were able to join in on the fun. Cole enjoyed shoveling, laying in the sand, even tasting the fine blend that play sand has to offer.
Grandpa played an advance game of peek a boo while putting the lid on the box while Cole would open and close the lid giggling with each peek.
Only one down fall to Sand...... It gets everywhere!!! I am sweeping it up all the time.
I can't wait for the weather to perk up a little so we can have "Beach" days, Lounging in the sand, sipping juice boxes by the side of the kiddy pool. Oh we are so living the life....Please don't envy us!

Sand is Fun!
