Soooo Foggy

It was So Foggy the Fog horns were going off every 10 seconds. It amused Cole and made me smile. Don't you just love sense memory. The clicky clack of driving over the Bay bridge, the taste of the water, the smell of sea air. A great time was had by all.

We LOVE Ikea.

PLAYGROUND--- PLAYGROUND

When we were "lost" in Modesto we drove by a Playground. All Cole could do was whine pathetic like in the back seat "PlayyyyGroundddd" So after a day at IKEA Auntie Angie looked after Cole and Ella while Mommy and Daddy spent the night in San Francisco with a visit to the OPERA. Auntie Angie won Points by taking them to the playground and was rewarded by well behaved kids for bedtime.

AHHHH! The Ocean!

We are currently mid vaction in California visiting Auntie Angie, Great Grand Parents and My Favorite City. My sister has moved to Modesto so the kids have spent alot of time in the car but have been Amazing. Today we visited the Palace of Fine Arts. That is where Cole chanted The Palace, the Palace we are at the Palace. Drove down California Street the road is like a Roller Coaster and Cole wanted Mommy to drive "FAST". We then went to lunch at a Pacifica favorite Seafood Spot and enjoyed the ocean. Cole and Ella are very fond of the ocean spray and the surfers. We then drove up hill to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. Cole and Ella had a blast exploring their home while Mommy, Daddy, Abula, and Auntie Angie caught up. Kids are sleeping and we should be too.

"Official" Good-Bye Spokane

Well it is goodbye Spokane as our previous home Closes soon and funding takes place around the 27Th of May. It Spent only 10 days on the market before someone fell in love with the "old world charm". We have been looking at houses in the market seriously since January. A few have come and gone that would "work" for our family but one that "felt" like home. We made a bid and was accepted. The new home should close around the end of June. The housing market is 3 times as much as the Spokane Market. I know you all are thinking but it is Montana!!! Well I think that is the whole appeal. The market started to really boom about 3 years ago. Five years you would be paying Spokane Comp Prices but no longer! There is also a Building boom active for over 5 years and still going strong. It is nice to see neighborhoods developing bringing in more families. The new neighborhood is packed with kids and the local elementary is near by. We will have a bedroom for every one. Sorry Ella you can no longer sleep with the washer and dryer. A a room dedicated to Kid's Play. Mom and Daddy will also be sharing an office/craft room. My Mom will have a nice room with a awesome view of the mountains. Cole has already picked out his room as it has a Orange "racing" stripe around it. Mommy and Daddy will share the Master suite with a Fabulous closet. Those who have visited us in our rental know of the tight living arrangements we have been living under for the last year. You will also understand the excitement over a closet!!! Cole lately has been begging for a kitty as he met some on some of our house journeys. He really enjoyed looking at houses and actually when asked on a day we saw three different homes which one was his favorite. He chose the "orange stripe" room. Amazing since it had no toys as it was empty.

Doctor's Check Up

Ella had her 18 month check up a little late. But she is thriving, so no worries. At 19 months she is a whopping 24 pounds and 33 inches tall. She handled the appointment moderately well and even blew the Doctor a kiss bye-bye. Ella LOVED that she was presented with a hospital gown to stay warm as she waited for the Doctor. She even tried to put her regular clothes on top of it.
Ella did not cry when she was given her Hep b immunization.
Thankfully Daddy arrived just in time to occupy Cole who refused to nap that day and was a little grumpy. Cole fell asleep in the car on the ride home and went straight to bed.

Come on over the fishing is fine!

Here in Montana we had amazing weather. So Daddy, Cole and Ella packed up their fishing gear and went to the nearest fishing hole and had an adventure. At the first cast Cole sent his plastic fish weight a flying and it wrapped around a branch across the river. Daddy and Cole balanced their way across the lake on a fallen tree trunk. Daddy was balancing while carrying Ella. Cole was on his hands and knees making sure not to fall into the river. They retrieved and untangled and crossed back to the other side. Both ways Cole had to pause to remove items that were in his way. On the way over it was a twig and on the way back there was a bug. He was worried about squashing it.
Once the balancing act was over Cole sat down in his camp chair, did a nice cast into the water and sat there tapping his foot. Once in a while he would chastise Daddy and tell him to “Not scare the fish”.
Ella decided that she needed to go for a swim and ran into the river with Daddy chasing after. Ella was soon up to her chest and loving every minute. Now the weather is warm but the water is COLD! Daddy grabbed Ella and brought her to shore. She was then content to sit and play in the mud.
Right before leaving Cole exclaimed “Daddy this is really good Adventure, I wanna stay fishing trip ALL day long.”
Luckly for Mommy the three of them visited her at work and shared lunch time. Mommy heard all about the fishing adventure.
